CEO, Comau S.p.A.
In 2015, he was appointed CEO of Comau. In addition to having global profit and loss responsibility for an average annual turnover of 1.5 B/€ generated by 4 primary divisions in 34 different locations, he is part of the FCA Global Product Committee. He joined Comau – FCA Group – in 2001 as the Global Project Director for the Paining Systems Division, he had held multiple executive management positions within the company before accepting the role of CEO in 2014.
From 2001 to 2007, he was responsible for Project Management at global level, first with the Painting Systems division (2001-2005) followed by Powertrain Systems (2005-2007). He then became the Vice President of Corporate Project Management in 2007, spearheading the creation and launch of Comau’s Project Management Office. He also launched the Aerospace Business Unit in 2009, where he held the role of COO until becoming the General Director and Head of the Body Welding Systems Division in 2010.
He received a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Politecnico di Milano in 1987, and from 1987 to 2001, before joining Comau, he held executive management, technical and commercial positions in different multinational corporations within the Aerospace and Oil & Gas Sectors.
Over the course of his career he has taught multiple seminars on management and change issues at the Catholic University in Milan as well as other business schools. He has also authored multiple books, including Project and People Management – an Operational Guide. Comau’s Experience in the World, published globally in Italian, English and Chinese.
