Coordinator of the Spanish strategy in Industrie 4.0

Mr. Mario Buisán is currently Coordinator of the Spanish strategy in Industry 4.0 (Industria Conectada 4.0) and Head of Cabinet of the Secretary General of Industry and SMEs. He is therefore responsible for the actions and programs that seek to digitize Spanish companies.
Previously, from 2009 to 2014, was the Trade Commissioner of the Embassy of Spain in Miami, Florida. Since 2004 he was Director General Information and Investments at the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX). Prior to this he was Deputy Director General of International Affairs at Banco de España. He also worked at the MIGA Agency of World Bank. He was a former Trade Commissioner of Spain in Düsseldorf, Germany and has occupied several positions in the Ministry of Economics and Finance.
At the moment he is Member of the Board of IDAE (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving) and PYMAR (Small and medium sized Shipyards) and he has been before Member of the board of Cofides, Compañía Española de Financiación del Desarrollo, S. A. (SPANISH COMPANY FOR FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT) and of the Sociedad Estatal Española P4R, S.A. (SPAIN STATE NATIONAL SOCIETY).
He holds a double Major in Economic and Business Sciences, and a Law Degree and a postgrade course at IESE and he is a member of the Commercial and Economic Technical Personnel Organization of the Spanish Government.
