Manuel Montoya is Master in Business Administration by the “Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa”, IESE, Barcelona, Spain and Chemical Engineer by the “Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.”
He worked as Project Manager for the Asiatic Operations with Ficosa International and then Technical Vicepresident and Member of the Board for Tata Ficosa Private Limited, Pune, India. He also worked before as Program Manager at IPADE Business School and Project Leader at Seival.
For the last 7 years he had been the CEO of the Automotive Cluster of Nuevo Leon, Claut, in Monterrey, Mexico, an organization that gathers 80 companies and institutions related with the automotive industry in the North East region of Mexico.
The Claut concentrates efforts in the automotive innovation ecosystem, coordinating technological projects between companies and academic and research institutes.He participates in the Board of the Monterrey Center for Competitiveness and in the Board of The Competitiveness Institute, a network of cluster initiatives around the world.
