Industrial Engineer in Metal-Mechanical Manufacturing Processes by the National Center of Industrial Technical Education (CeNETI), Master in Science in Metallurgy by the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon, France and Master in Free Trade Agreements by IALESI. He completed his certification at IPADE, in Monterrey, in Top-Level Business Management in 1998 and Innovation and Technology Management in 2008. He has held several postgraduate courses in France, Switzerland, Spain, Russia, the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. From 1983 to 1991 he served as Chief Investigator of the Mexican Institute of Iron and Steel Research (IMIS); from 1991 to 2013 worked at COMIMSA, being General Manager from 2003 to 2013; President of the Advisory Council of the Public Research Centers of CONACYT 2009; National Vice-President of Innovation and Technological Development of CANACINTRA National in 2013; from January 2014 to February 2016 was Director General of Infrastructure and Public Services of the Municipality of Saltillo, Coahuila. He is currently Deputy Director of Technological Development and Innovation at CONACYT, with the responsibility of promoting research, technological development and innovation through national and international programs, supports and projects.
