Doctor of industrial Engineering by the Industrial Engineering School of the Polytechnical University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain and ME and PhD in Nuclear Engineering Sciences by the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA. Attended the IESE and EADA Business Schools in Barcelona for PDD Executive degrees.
CEO of AMES for more than 30 years (1985 to present) and Chairman of the Board since 2003, started working at AMES as a sales engineer in 1981.
He was a researcher and a part time professor during his graduate work in college and worked as a computer programmer at EYSSA (catalan company supplying large cities traffic control systems) from 1973 to 1975.
He was President of the European Powder Metallurgy Association from 2001 to 2007 and is Vice-President since that time. He was also a member of the Barcelona Chamber of Industry and Commerce Council from 1998 to 2002 and is a member of the Industry and Energy Commission since that time. He was appointed to the Advisory Council for Economic Recovery and Growth to the President of Catalonia from 2011 to 2013 and has been called to a number of advisory councils to the catalan government since. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of EADA Business School since 2013. He is a member of the Board of Sernauto, the Spanish Association of automobile component manufacturers since 2003.
He was appointed Fellow of the PMAI Powder Metallurgy Association of India in 2013 and received the Ivor Jenkins award of the Institute of Metals (U.K) in 1998.
