Deputy Director General, Directorate General for Enterprise (DGE), Ministry of the Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs, France
In 2012, Benjamin Gallezot was appointed Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Enterprise (DGE), in the french Ministry of economy, industry and digital affairs. DGE is in charge of industry, digital affairs, services, commerce, tourism, innovation and competitiveness. Benjamin Gallezot is, in particular, heading the “Industry of the Future” program, relating to digitalization of industry.
From 2010 to 2012 he was advisor for industry and energy at the “Présidence de la République”, and in 2009 he was advisor for defense industry and procurement at the office of the Defense Minister. Previously he was in charge of energy markets at the Ministry for Energy (2007,2008), auditor at the “Cour des Comptes” (national audit office) (2003-2007), and head of the office for naval industry at the Ministry of Defense. He started his career as a naval engineer, at the french naval ship model basin.
Belonging to the armament engineer corps, he holds a Master of Science degree in applied mathematics from the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, and a Master of Arts in defense policy from the University of Paris.
Benjamin Gallezot was born in 1972, is married with three children.
