Aziz Asphahani holds Mathé-matiques Spéciales, Lycée Janson de Sailly-Paris, Diplôme Ingénieur-Physics, Ecole Cent-rale de Paris, and PhD in Materials Science from MIT. Currently, Dr. Asphahani is Chairman and CEO of QuesTek International LLC. Before joining QuesTek, he served as President and CEO of CARUS Chemical Co., following 19 years in the Specialty Metals Industry with HAYNES International/CABVAL, where he served as CABVAL President, HAYNES Vice President, Director of R&D, and Corrosion Engineer. Dr. Asphahani holds 8 patents, authored 65 papers on high alloys and corrosion control, and contributed numerous technical presentations at major conferences. He served as Senior Advisor/Corrosion Curriculum Development at University of Akron and assisted in establishing the First “Corrosion Engineering” degree in the US. Dr. Asphahani is an active participant in the ASM Materials Camp initiative, promoting students’ interest in STEM careers and supporting school science teachers’ professional development. He is presently serving on the Boards of QuesTek Innovations LLC, Aluminium Rheinfelden GmbH, the Goldin Institute, the ASM-Education Foundation and the Board of Illinois Math & Science Academy-Fund.
