President, Confindustria Lombardia

Alberto Ribolla is President of Confindustria Lombardia since October 2013.

Graduated in Chemical engineering at Politecnico di Milano, he is owner and board member of Sices Group, based in Legnano, a company active in the industrial plant building, with a turnover of over €200 million. In Sices Group, he is Chairman of Board of Directors of Pensotti Fabbrica Caldaie Legnano S.p.A., Vice President of SICES Polska, President of Mecaer Aviation Group S.p.A. (aerospace sector).

Recently, he is also Vice President of Siirtec Nigi, an engineering and contracting company, based in Milan, operating in the oil & gas and refining industries for more than 80 years.

He is member of the General Council of Confindustria since 1993 and he was president of the Club of the "15" of Confindustria (the 15 Italian provinces with the highest level of manufacturing) from 2007 to 2014.

He was member of the Board of Credito Valtellinese Bank from. May 2004 to 2016 and Member of the Executive and Strategic Committee from 2009 to 2016.

In the recent years, he was founder and President of the Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster (from 2009 to 2015) and member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the University Carlo Cattaneo – LIUC.

He is also member of the National Council and Executive Committee of the National Association of Industrial Plant manufacturer (ANIMP) since 1999 and member of the Executive Committee since 2004.

Always engaged in the activities of the local Associations, he was President of the Young Entrepreneurs of UNIVA, deputy Chairman and President of the Union of Industrialists of Varese, member of the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Varese and of the Varese branch of the Bank of Italy.
